The primary purpose of this position is to create and manage electronic versions of the merchandising layouts, including but not limited to plan-o-gram importation, display fixture merchandising layouts, and perform sales/profit metrics on the aforementioned layouts. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and applicable laws.
Use Macro Planning to digitize store merchandising plans.
Work with multiple channels of the business to ensure proper merchandise planning for stores
Oversee and report weekly on the status of all merchandising layouts that are in progress to Senior Manager of Center Store Merchandising; ensure all established deadlines are achievable and develop an action plan to meet these goals.
Evaluate effectiveness of merchandising plans through the use of reporting tools within the Macro Planning software.
Develop daily procedures and protocols to increase efficiencies related to the digitization of store merchandising layouts.
Provide individual and team training to members of the merchandising team on the use of data and metrics produced by Macro Space Planning analytic tools.
Monitor and validate the quality and accuracy of all merchandising layouts prior to their publication via our Weis Macro Planning website to the Merchandising team and ultimately all Weis Markets stores.
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business or Marketing or Drafting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Leadership presence among executive team and in the community.
Ability to effectively partner with functional peers and internal partners.
Ability to remain flexible to changing business needs and react to those needs in a professional positive manner.
Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills.
Ability to analyze financial & statistical reports.
Accepting of coaching, guidance and supervision.
Ability to travel as business dictates.
