A Steward of the Environment
Our Company intends to be a good steward of the environment and is sensitive to the environmental, health and safety consequences of its operations. We are in strict compliance with all applicable Federal and State environmental laws and regulations, including, among others, the Clean Air Act, the Federal Water Pollution Control Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
Four Pillars of Sustainability
Weis Markets has four pillars of sustainability: Green Design, Natural Resources, Food & Agriculture, and Social Responsibility. We are also long-time proponents of recycling. In a given year, we recycle more than 25,633 tons of cardboard, 786 tons of plastic and 607 tons of paper.
