This is onsite 20 hours per week. The primary purpose of this position is to direct incoming phone calls and visitors to the Weis Markets Corporate Office to their respective destinations.  The associate will operate switchboard software to receive and disperse incoming phone calls.  The associate will direct visitors to sign in using a self-sign in portal.  The associate will be responsible for maintaining the switchboard directory with transfers, terminations and new associates. 


The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  1. Answer incoming phone calls and direct them to their respective destinations using switchboard computer software.
  2. Greet and direct visitors to utilize the self-sign in portal.  Visitors will wait in the lobby until the associate they are there to see comes for them.
  3. Maintain a clean and welcoming lobby by ensuring work area is free of clutter.   
  4. Maintain the switchboard directory for new, transferred and terminated associates in both software and paper forms on a weekly basis.
  5. Maintain numerical extensions on a monthly basis to note if any changes have occurred.
  6. Backup for Corporate hotel reservations and accommodations. 

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus two (2) years of administrative, customer service, or call center experience in an office environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
