Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Manages daily activity on the WMS and conducts administrative tasks as needed.
  • Knowledge of distribution center and WMS concepts and common practices.
  • Provide system training and implementation support to warehouse associates.
  • Administers new user setups and develops reporting procedures.
  • Tests new system designs for accuracy, prepares, reviews, and executes unit test plans.
  • Analyze and resolve data integrity issues in the WMS.
  • Complies with OSHA, Safety and DOT regulations under federal, state, and local warehousing laws for shipping and handling requirements.
  • Ensure a safe work environment that is consistent with company safety and health standards.
  • Maintain compliance with receiving, warehousing, and distribution policies and procedures.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents through established security procedures and protocols.
  • Research and develop new techniques and procedures to increase efficiency and safety in operations.
  • Facilitate communication within and amongst management, departments, Stores, Store Support Center and Supply Chain

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position directly supervises the Manhattan Warehouse Management System.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

Education and/or Experience

Bachelors of Science in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Business Administration; or five (5) years’ prior experience as a Manager in a warehouse environment, and similar experience in use of a Warehouse Management Systems.

Leadership Skills

Ability to teach, lead and develop talent; prepare and support them in the use of the Manhattan Warehouse Management System.  Ability to effectively partner with internal DC departments and be flexible to changing business needs and react to those needs in a professional positive manner. Strong organizational, time management and communication skills required.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.  Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a plus.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
