Job Description:
The Sales & Merchandising Manager for Center Store Merchandising is responsible for driving sales growth, promotional execution, and merchandising consistency across assigned Center Store categories. This role manages the display plan, coordinates display distributions, and supports ad planning in partnership with all Center Store directors. The Sales & Merchandising Manager serves as a key liaison between merchandising, advertising, operations, supply chain, vendors, and store teams to ensure promotional programs are planned, communicated, distributed, and executed effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the Center Store display plan, including seasonal, weekly ad, vendor-funded, strategic, and opportunistic display activity.
Coordinate display distributions to stores, ensuring quantities, timing, item selection, and store allocation align with merchandising plans, promotional priorities, inventory availability, and sales objectives.
Partner with all Center Store directors to support ad planning, promotional calendars, item selection, display placement, and execution expectations.
Review promotional plans to confirm display support is aligned with ad features, pricing strategy, vendor commitments, and category objectives.
Collaborate with Category Managers, Space Planning, Advertising, Pricing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, and vendors to deliver consistent, profitable display programs.
Monitor display execution, sales results, inventory levels, and store feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend corrective action.
Support the development and communication of merchandising direction to stores, including display guides, timing expectations, execution notes, and follow-up priorities.
Track vendor-funded display activity, promotional commitments, and execution requirements to help ensure obligations are fulfilled.
Assist with forecasting display demand and promotional movement in partnership with merchandising and supply chain teams.
Analyze sales, margin, movement, inventory, and promotional performance to evaluate the effectiveness of display and ad programs.
Identify opportunities to improve display productivity, simplify store execution, reduce excess inventory, and increase customer engagement.
Maintain strong working relationships with internal partners and vendor representatives to support timely decision-making and issue resolution.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of Center Store merchandising goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, marketing, supply chain, or a related field preferred; equivalent retail or merchandising experience may be considered.
Experience in grocery, retail merchandising, category management, sales planning, vendor management, or store operations preferred.
Knowledge of promotional planning, display execution, inventory flow, and retail merchandising standards.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Ability to analyze sales and inventory data and communicate recommendations clearly.
Ability to travel to stores, meetings, or vendor appointments as needed.
