Overview

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to lead a team of Third Party Representatives to reset the layout of new stores, remodeled stores, and stores undergoing a general reset. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  1. Receives planograms and instructions from Supervisor for store resets and provides guidance to Representatives on how new merchandise or section space is being requested to be altered.  
  2. Serve as the leader and travel to stores in an assigned geographical area to oversee reset layouts, communicate planogram and floor plan, and provide direction to remove merchandise from shelves, and relocating fixtures to conform to the new floor plan.
  3. Ensures team minimizes the disruption of the operations of the store when Representative are setting up product staging, label and price section to meet each projects needs based on timeline provided.
  4. Works closely with reset representative team to execute the day-to-day plan within the store over a specified timeframe; projects may take up to 2-3 weeks to complete.
  5. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position directly supervises fifteen (15) Reset Representatives and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Weis Markets policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent, plus five (5) years’ experience in operations or merchandising; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  In addition, the associate should have knowledge of reading blueprints/planograms.   

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.  Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Walk about.
  • Talk and hear; verbally express ideas and impart information or instructions.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, and/or feel; the ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp or turn with hands, and perceive attributes of objects and materials, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips.

Frequently required to do the following activities:

  • Stand for long periods without a break.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Reach up and out with hands and arms.
  • Twist upper torso.
  • Lift up to fifty (50) pounds and carry a distance of ten (10) feet.
  • Push and/or pull up to fifty (50) pounds a distance of ten (10) feet.

Occasionally required to do the following activities:

  • Remain seated in a normal position for long periods.
  • Maintain balance while walking, standing, or crouching.
  • Required to climb stairs and/or ladders.
  • Lift up to one hundred (100) pounds and carry a distance of fifteen (15) feet.
  • Push and/or pull up to one hundred (100) pounds a distance of ten (10) feet.

Specific vision abilities required for this job include:

-     Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).

-     Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).

-     Color vision and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.

-     Peripheral vision.

-     Depth perception and the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.

-     Adjustable focus.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. The associate is regularly exposed to indoor conditions with a moderate noise level.
