Overview
SUMMARY
This position reports directly to the Regional Vice President of Operations and will cover the stores located in the metro Baltimore and DC markets. The Regional Ops Specialist is assigned to work and assist two District Managers and provide support and guidance to those areas. The candidate will assist and support store operations through the implementation and execution of center store sales and merchandising programs in grocery, non-foods, GM/HBC, bread, frozen food, ice cream & dairy within the assigned region. They will also support all financial goals and measurements of the organizations. The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate implementation and execution of merchandising plans, including merchandising new items, sale items, promotional tie-ins, displays and signage to meet or exceed regional sales and profit objectives.

Leads in execution of our CGO and 5-S strategic initiatives. Plays key role in roll out of operational initiatives throughout the chain.

Works with our stores in the area of total shrink management. This includes managing inventory levels, known loss reduction, procedure compliance, and other areas as determined by management.

Takes an active role in identifying and developing talent at all levels of the region. Works directly with store managers, assistant store managers, and department managers in a variety of developmental and teaching capacities.

May be responsible for supervision of the operating district in absence of district manager.

Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Business preferred, plus a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in retail operations, including a minimum of one (1) year as a store manager in a retail environment.
