The Regional Asset Protection Manager provides shrink and safety support and guidance to their market. The RAPM will work closely with the region staff to develop the overall strategy and focus. They will lead their assigned districts in the execution of process and procedures. The RAPM is responsible for hiring, training and developing their team while ensuring results and driving accountability.


3-4 District Asset Protection Managers


  • Oversee all aspects of Asset Protection for an assigned region.
  • Recruit, hire and train District Asset Protection Managers.
  • Evaluate and develop each team member’s understanding of asset protection operations and leadership.
  • Administer personal and team development programs with DAPM’s and Retail Crime Investigators.
  • Manage a productive theft resolution program that identifies internal dishonesty and reduces organized retail crime.
  • Conduct high profile dishonest associate related investigations and interviews.
  • Actively provide guidance and support to stores regarding emergency situations and critical incidents.
  • Complete store visits to reinforce Asset Protection policies, procedures and compliance to company standards.
  • Review Store Operational Audit and develop strategies for improvement and accountability.
  • Develop and improve company policy and procedures that help drive the Asset Protection culture.
  • Enforce policies and procedures in a professional and impactful manner through consistent accountability practices.
  • Drive asset protection awareness programs within the region.
  • Partner with the Regional Vice President to help achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Foster a culture of profitable selling through training, development and leadership.
  • Review and evaluate store inventory shrink results and initiate appropriate actions to reduce shrink and increase profitability.
  • Act as a liaison between Weis Markets and local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
  • Professionally represent Weis Markets in court hearings and mediations.
  • Analyze and evaluate people and situations and provide direction to impact performance.
  • Identify ongoing Asset Protection needs and provide recommended actions and resources.
  • Effectively manage time and scheduling to best suit the company’s needs.
  • Drive the company safety program in partnership with region, district and store leadership.
  • Reduce cash shortage and conduct investigations as needed.
  • Responsible for key P&L categories relating to Asset Protection and expense control.
  • Conduct detailed P&L reviews with the Regional Vice President and use financial data to achieve and measure results.
  • Orchestrate key public safety functions and physical security standards for all new store openings, remodels and special events.
  • Professionally represent Weis Markets at industry meetings and events.

Job Qualifications


  • A bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 8 years multi-store Asset Protection supervisory experience.
  • Analytical ability to interpret statistical data.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Effective organizational, communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to direct and handle multiple tasks, prioritize and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Must have core computer competencies including an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Exhibits strong leadership skills and abilities.
  • Ability to work on sensitive assignments and handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Wicklander / Zulawski certification.
  • LPC Preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including some overnights.
  • Available to mitigate emergency situations 24/7.
