The primary purpose of this position is to supervise and coordinate the efforts of District Asset Protection Managers within their region to achieve maximum shrink prevention, safety awareness and the protection of company assets.  This position is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of Asset Protection policies and procedures through compliance assessments and use of exception reporting  The RAPM is responsible for hiring, training and developing their team while ensuring results and driving accountability.  The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and applicable laws.


The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  1. Provide leadership, training and development to District Asset Protection Managers.
  2. Evaluate and develop each team member’s understanding of asset protection operations and leadership.
  3. Administer personal and team development programs with District Asset Protection Managers and Retail Crime Investigators.
  4. Manage a productive theft resolution program that identifies internal dishonesty and reduces organized retail crime.
  5. Communicate and implement Asset Protection strategies to reduce loss in the stores.
  6. Conduct high profile dishonest associate related investigations and interviews.
  7. Actively provide guidance and support to stores regarding emergency situations and critical incidents.  Ensure timely response and follow-up to critical incidents within region. 
  8. Complete store visits to reinforce Asset Protection policies, procedures and compliance to company standards.
  9. Review Store Operational Audit and develop strategies for improvement and accountability.
  10. Develop and improve company policy and procedures that help drive the Asset Protection culture.
  11. Enforce policies and procedures in a professional and impactful manner through consistent accountability practices.
  12. Implement and maintain Asset Protection Awareness Programs within the region.
  13. Partner with the Regional Vice President to help achieve company goals and objectives.
  14. Foster a culture of profitable selling through training, development and leadership.
  15. Review and evaluate store inventory shrink results and initiate appropriate actions to reduce shrink and increase profitability.
  16. Act as a liaison between Weis Markets and local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
  17. Professionally represent Weis Markets in court hearings and mediations.
  18. Analyze and evaluate people and situations and provide direction to impact performance.
  19. Identify ongoing Asset Protection needs and provide recommended actions and resources.
  20. Effectively manage time and scheduling to best suit the company’s needs.
  21. Drive the company safety program in partnership with region, district and store leadership.
  22. Reduce cash shortage and conduct investigations as needed.
  23. Responsible for key P&L categories relating to Asset Protection and expense control.
  24. Conduct detailed P&L reviews with the Regional Vice President, use financial data to measure operational compliance and results.
  25. Orchestrate key public safety functions and physical security standards for all new store openings, remodels and special events.

Job Qualifications


Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) plus five (8) years’ related work experience in multi-store supervisory role; or equivalent combination of education and experience
