The primary purpose of this position is to provide support by completing various administrative and clerical duties in accordance with accounting practices assigned as needed.  Prepare accounting records for accurate processing in financial systems.  The associate is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with company policies and state and federal laws.

  1. Processing the weekly and biweekly payroll.
  2. Process W-4 forms, direct deposit forms, state wage certification forms, local tax changes, jury duty, step negative forms and refunds.
  3. Scan and image documents in the on-base system.
  4. Learn how to process reversals/adjustments and replacement checks in PeopleSoft (HCMS system).
  5. Knowledge of garnishment processing.  Will need to be able to enter garnishments, request check payments from Accounts Payable and mail check to vendors timely.
  6. Be able to work some weekends/or possibly on holidays.
  7. Communicate with vendors and internal associates to answer questions and resolve issues, including phone call or email based on company records.
  8. Investigates discrepancies and authorizes issue resolution.  Escalates as needed.
  9. Knowledge of department specific processes and systems.
  10. Assist with departmental projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).  Experience in an Accounting office or Human Resource office, preferred with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
