The purpose of this position is to proctor the receiving process for raw milk deliveries at the Weis Markets Milk Plant. The associate is responsible for conducting temperature monitoring and sampling of raw milk before the off-loading process begins. The associate will be required to operate and maintain the receiving bays equipment to ensure a successful transition of the raw milk into the production facility.
This position starts at 15.00 per hour and pays a $3.00 attendance incentive.
Schedule is Sun,Mon,Wed,Thu 7AM-5:30PM.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
1. Collect samples and perform temperature analysis of incoming milk loads and storage silos to ensure raw materials being received meet pre-determined standards.
2. Clean and sanitize Tankers, lines, and all equipment associated with the receiving process ensure compliance with food safety standards.
3. Direct tractor trailer drivers on correct docking locations.
4. Conduct monthly sanitary inspections on all work areas and silos to maintain cleanliness standards.
5. Responsible for maintaining the commitment to food safety and food quality in compliance with Weis Markets, DEP (Department of Environmental Protection), PDA, FDA and SQF etc.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
Working towards completion of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Ability to read, simple verbal or written instructions; able to write short memos/messages. Able to communicate information effectively one on one, and in small groups (customers, clients, co-workers etc.)
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Able to perform these operations using American units of money, weight, volume, and distance
