Responsibilities:
Processes cuts of beef and/or pork properly and on a consistent basis
Handles a knife for trimming of steaks and roasts
Trims offal and operates cuber/tenderizer
Courteous attitude towards fellow employees and follow all meat facility and company procedures
Hours are Monday-Friday, with some weekend work required.
Starting rate $16.00-18.00 based on experience. $2.00 per hour attendance incentive as well.
Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge to process all cuts of beef, pork, veal, and lamb. Knowledge of boning techniques (ex: boning a bone-in pork loin into a boneless loin) Ability and knowledge to sharpen equipment (knives). Possesses a strong work ethic and the correct attitude to operate power equipment. Capability, willingness, and desire to operate high speed band saws. Attention to detail. Ability to follow directions and procedures. Ability to work with others as a team

Operates powered equipment
Working Conditions:
Works in a refrigerated facility (32 to 40 degrees). Long periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
Normal work schedule is Mon-Fri day shift, 40 hours/week
Occasional weekend work is required, and some holidays.
