Primary work location is our IT Field Services Office in support of our IT Field Services Technicians working throughout the Weis Markets trade areas. Occasional travel to a store location may be required to support a technician or initiative.

Perform services, repairs and installation of all Information Technology equipment. This includes system hardware, software, registers, network equipment and computers. Technical support will be provided to internal customers on operational or maintenance aspects of systems and equipment.

  • Solving routine issues and performing routine tasks using well documented methods and techniques
  • Exercise judgment within well-defined procedures to solve moderately complex issues
  • Perform tasks with a limited number of variables
  • Repair and install company hardware and software
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic to moderate hardware
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Maintain assigned company property in good working order including but not limited to company vehicle, tools, computer and cell phone as well as maintain a good driving record.

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate is:

  • Regularly required to do the following activities:
  • Remain seated or standing in a normal position for long periods.
  • Use hands to finger, handle, and/or feel; the ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp or turn with hands, and perceive attributes of objects and materials, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips.
  • Perform continuous operation of a personal computer for four hours or more.
  • Maintain balance while walking, standing, crouching, or running.
  • Twist upper torso.
  • Must have physical mobility sufficient to be able to inspect hardware, as well as the ability to bend or stoop low to the floor.
  • Have full use of all senses while driving and communicating with Weis Markets associates.
  • Being able to work long extend hours at a time
  • May be required to walk about.
  • Occasionally required to do the following activities:
  • Climb stairs.
  • Twist upper torso.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Reach up and out with hands and arms.
  • Lift to fifty (50) pounds and carry a distance of fifteen (15) feet.
  • Push and/or pull up to ten (10) pounds a distance of ten (10) feet.
  • Rarely required to do the following activities:
  • Lift up to one hundred (100) pounds and carry a distance of ten (10) feet.
  • Push and/or pull up to one hundred (100) pounds a distance of ten (10) feet.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include:
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
  • Color vision and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Peripheral vision.
  • Depth perception and the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
  • Adjustable focus.
