Overview

The Human Resources Talent Manager position exists as a primary manager of human resources functions covering one or two operating districts. The HRTM partners with district managers in order to complete total talent management which includes workforce planning, performance management, talent development, and associate engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below in addition to other duties as assigned:

  1. Recruitment, staffing, and development of store leaders and associates.
  2. Assists in partnership with District Managers and others in creating an outstanding work experience and inclusive environment for all associates.
  3. Investigate and bring to resolution all associate relation issues.
  4. Identifies succession planning needs and works in cooperation with the RHRM for advancement of hourly associates into salaried management positions.
  5. Coordinates training plans for associates at all levels and partners with the District Operations Recruiters to coordinate training and on-boarding for new associates. 
  6. Works with store teams on HR compliance issues and maintains standards as it relates to all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  7. Supports stores in hourly hiring efforts.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years HR specific experience, preferably in a generalist role
  • 2 years of experience preferred working in a retail environment

Certificates, Licenses, and / or Registration:

  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License in state of residence.
