Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to provide support by completing various administrative and clerical duties in accordance with human resources processes and practices assigned as needed.  The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with company policies and state and federal laws.

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  1. Perform various administrative/clerical duties as needed in the human resources area; assist with the completion of special projects, i.e. I-9, audit requests, paycheck history, and subpoenas.
  2. Review and process new hire packets from OneDrive and index and upload into OnBase; required to separate, scan and index.
  3. Look at Kronos to determine if Termination Date is accurate from Status Change Form to determine what the Last Day Worked is an input into PeopleSoft.
  4. If an associate is a rehire, must be able to access CICS.
  5. Each associate is assigned multiple districts and are responsible to maintain associate personnel records by updating addresses, job codes, status, pay group, pay rate changes, effective dates and termination dates.  
  6. Open and sort incoming and interoffice mail; deliver within the department; process outgoing mail.
  7. Interact with HR Talent Managers, Assistant Store Managers and other associates to answer new hire paperwork, status changes, transfers and basic questions to resolve associate issues.
  8. Provides assistance regarding the use of office equipment such as desktops, printers, copiers, scanner, etc.
  9. Answer incoming phone calls or email and route the caller to the appropriate associate or department.
  10. Assist with departmental projects as assigned.
     

Job Qualifications

 High school diploma or equivalent

  • • A minimum of 3 years clerical experience – HR clerical preferred
  • • PeopleSoft, OnBase and Kronos experience preferred
  • • Must have excellent communication skills
  • • Confidentiality a must
  • • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • • Excellent telephone skills
  • • Possesses strong organizational skills in an office setting
