SUMMARY OF JOB
The Blow Molding department is where the plastic one-gallon containers are manufactured for the purpose of packaging the assorted fluid products that are produced at this facility. It is the responsibility of the operators to operate various equipment in order to manufacture safe, clean and reliable single service containers. The operators are expected to maintain this equipment. This includes but is not limited to preventative, predictive, and repair maintenance work that falls within the scope of their skills, experience, and training. This requires working independently and as a team, to achieve maximum equipment availability, production efficiency and the preservation of company assets.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The quality of the products we produce is extremely important, quality assurance is a part of everyone’s job.
Operate blow molders, trimmers and other ancillary equipment used in the manufacture of the plastic containers.
This position would includes routine maintenance work such as greasing, oil changes, inspections and assorted mechanical repairs to the level of your ability.
Maintain clean equipment and a clean work environment
Test run and receive shipments of plastic resin used in the manufacture of the containers
Assist the maintenance department with repairs to blow molding equipment when
they are called in to help.
Work cooperatively with gallon filler station to achieve maximum quality and efficiency.
Work cooperatively with PA Department of Agriculture, Federal, and other regulatory agencies while undergoing their inspections of our facility.
Assist the maintenance department in the performance of their duties or assist with special projects when idle time is available.
You will be provided company issued tools that you will be responsible for and need to be maintained.
5AM-1:30PM or 2AM-10:30AM.
Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
Preferred - High school technical training and/or college level technical training
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
Previous blow molding or plastics industry experience is preferred but not required.
Above average mechanical aptitude.
Basic pneumatic and hydraulic system skills
- Understanding of system operations
Routine preventative maintenance
- Able to adequately perform all routine lubrication requirements and equipment inspections as posted in the scheduled maintenance log
Routine predictive maintenance
- Ability to recognize, diagnose, and report or repair equipment defects in
advance of failure
Required training and/or certifications that will be provided

Must pass the required company medical physical.
Physical dexterity is required. This job involves lifting, bending, climbing, standing for long periods, working within confined spaces and working with ones hands.
Due to the nature of the work and the environment, good eyesight with or without correction, is important.
Exposure to greases, oils, High density Polyethylene resin, silicone, cleaners, solvents and chemicals is definite.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions can vary greatly depending upon the task. Generally, work performed within the blow molding facility is in a clean and climate controlled environment. The room is maintained cool for humidity control throughout the year. However, some tasks expose blow mold associates to cold, wet, hot, dusty, dirty, greasy, oily and noisy conditions. The variety of working conditions will necessitate wearing a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE) as dictated by the hazards and company safety policies. The minimum PPE required at all times would consist of safety glasses, hearing protection, bump cap and hairnet, all of which are provided by the company.
Working shifts may be changed as necessary to meet demands of production or to cover for staff shortages due to absences and vacations. This may include working overtime, weekends and holidays. Some weekend work is required for maintenance projects or clean-up projects. In the event of a major problem anyone could be called in to assist.
Schedule Starting at 5AM, 40 hours per week. Starting Rate is : 15.00 per hour, with a $3.00 attendance incentive
