Overview

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, Weis Markets annual budget process, preparing financial reporting for senior management using Microsoft products and financial systems, data analytic reporting, and documenting and evaluating current processes and recommending efficiencies. Additional data analytic and compliance projects will be assigned as needed by management.

 Areas of reporting focus could include the following: sales, gross margin and operating income by company, region, and store; labor; inventory; and weekly forecasting

 Successful candidates will demonstrate initiative in understanding process flows and identifying efficiencies within current processes.

Job Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 4 Year Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university
  • 0 - 5 years of experience in a field of accounting or finance, internship preferred if 0 years of experience
  • Spreadsheet/database/computer knowledge a must
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment that promotes inclusiveness and communication among team members.
