The Compliance Coordinator will perform critical activities designed to ensure the organization is compliant with all Federal, State and local regulations. He/she will be an expert in their assigned area and be versed in past, present and future regulations.
Review and analyze transactional data for potential suspicious activity, including those generated from retail stores, banks, vendor partners and/or law enforcement subpoenas/requests.
Write and file Suspicious Activity Reports and apply appropriate risk mitigation measure, while ensuring appropriate documentation of all research and analysis conducted.
Liaise with store management regarding suspicious transactions and mitigation efforts to be taken at store level.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and fraud trends to keep internal controls current and mitigate risk.
Conduct AML trend analysis to determine high risk locations.
Prepare reports on investigations and transaction monitoring performance indicators.
Understanding of requirements of AML Regulations, USA Patriot Act and Bank Secrecy Act as they relate to Money Services Businesses.
Assist with creation and maintenance of policies, procedures and training on AML topics.
Maintain Update the Compliance Sharepoint site relative to AML documents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
CAMS certification, or ability and willingness to obtain CAMS certification.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Superior analytical ability to develop and interpret data.
Excellent organizational and investigative skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint
Previous Bank Secrecy Act experience preferred.
