Overview

The Compliance Coordinator will perform critical activities designed to ensure the organization is compliant with all Federal, State and local regulations.  He/she will be an expert in their assigned area and be versed in past, present and future regulations.

  • Review and analyze transactional data for potential suspicious activity, including those generated from retail stores, banks, vendor partners and/or law enforcement subpoenas/requests.

  • Write and file Suspicious Activity Reports and apply appropriate risk mitigation measure, while ensuring appropriate documentation of all research and analysis conducted.

  • Liaise with store management regarding suspicious transactions and mitigation efforts to be taken at store level.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and fraud trends to keep internal controls current and mitigate risk.

  • Conduct AML trend analysis to determine high risk locations.

  • Prepare reports on investigations and transaction monitoring performance indicators.

  • Understanding of requirements of AML Regulations, USA Patriot Act and Bank Secrecy Act as they relate to Money Services Businesses.

  • Assist with creation and maintenance of policies, procedures and training on AML topics.

  • Maintain Update the Compliance Sharepoint site relative to AML documents.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.

  • CAMS certification, or ability and willingness to obtain CAMS certification.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Superior analytical ability to develop and interpret data.

  • Excellent organizational and investigative skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint

  • Previous Bank Secrecy Act experience preferred.
