1. Mixes, shapes, proofs and bakes breads, rolls, sweet goods and cakes. Also makes up various items for the self-service cold case.
2. Decorates cakes and other bakery products. Trims and cuts cakes to required specifications using die or specific designs or may create custom designs. Spreads icing on cakes surface and between layers.
3. Fills donuts and places into frying oil. Flips donuts with sticks, removes donuts from oil and places onto racks for cooling.
4. Adheres to company, state and federal regulations concerning food and human safety when handling products, knives or bread slicing machine.
5. Greets and takes customer orders over the phone or in person. Determines what the customer is looking for in terms of size, flavor and appearance, then creates finished product to meet customer requirements.
6. Assists bakery manager with wrapping, pricing, filling in and merchandising the bakery sales area. Pulls out of code products from shelves and reduces to predetermined retail for quick sale. Rotates pre-baked and frozen baked items to ensure freshness.
7. Also performs other duties such as resetting bakery cases as needed, may also unload freight, check orders, assist with care and clean up of equipment and keeping bakery department (production and sales areas) clean and neat.
8. Ensures smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co-workers and superiors. Responsible to continuously improve job performance
9. Performs other staff duties as required.

Use hands to finger, grasp, and/or feel; the ability to pick, pinch with fingers, type, seize, hold, apply pressure, or turn with hands; and perceive attributes of objects and materials, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture, by touching with fingertips.

▪ Close- clear vision at 20 inches or less
▪ Distance- clear vision at 20 feet or more
▪ Color- ability to identify and distinguish colors
▪ Peripheral- ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point
▪ Depth- three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
▪ Adjust focus- ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus after looking at something at a closer or greater distance.
